In order to subscribe to the newsletter, we ask that you provide your name and email address. That address will be used to send you the newsletter. We may also use that email address to communicate with you about offers, such as signed books.
You can tell us to take you off the list at any time and we will endeavor to do that.
We may use reputable third-party providers in our work. For example, we are using Google Forms to ask paid subscribers to give us feedback about what they’d like. We also use Ghost for the newsletter and Ghost uses Stripe to collect your payment. We don’t have control over what these kinds of third-party providers do with your information. You should check their privacy policies if you are concerned. Make the decision that is best for you.
We may sometimes look at analytics about our products, including this newsletter, and we may collect, share, publish, and otherwise use those analytics, but we will only use aggregate non-personally-identifying information. For example, we may look to see what time of day our material gets the most traffic, but this won’t tell us what time of day you accessed it personally. That’s just one example of how we may use information.
If you choose to communicate with us directly as by, for example, sending us email, we may collect and otherwise use personal identifying information that comes with your communication. If you choose to communicate with us directly as by, for example, sending us email or posting a comment, we may quote from your communication without receiving explicit permission from you. But we can’t guarantee that the information we do have about you will never be hacked or otherwise obtained by someone who does not have our or your permission.

If you have a bad experience with a company with whom we’ve partnered, please do take the time to tell us about it but recognize that we don’t control and are not responsible for the actions of other companies.
We will work hard to protect and not abuse any information we collect about you when you subscribe to this newsletter and associated products. Please know that in the event we are subject to a subpoena, court order, or other government request, we will need to respond appropriately including by sharing information we are required by law to share.
